What it does
Seagull #MAP2 supports the following modes
- AF-T ( 1 sec pre-autofocus – then trigger )
- IS-T ( Instant trigger – as soon as camera locks focus )
- Camera On/Off ( Only with Sony “MULTI” interfaced cameras! )
- Timelapse ( Shutter release with variable time interval )
- Keep-alive ( Sony QX1 keep-alive mode, prevents camera from auto power off )

this triggers a very nice, I possessed four units, all I use on UAVs for mapping, I use sony camera dsc-hx50V and dsc-hx90V, these triggers can protect the camera from damage during landing, because the trigger has a function to shut off the camera .. … a good tool for me

Outstanding support from Seagull who send the infos on how to do it and accompany us in the process .
After the initial config is done wilh Mission Planner, the MAP2 works flawlessly with Tower for the planification and execution of mapping mission and the result is very good. Highly recommended.

I’ve been using the Seagull #Map2 to trigger the Sony WX500 with a Pixhawk in my fixed wing drones for several years now. It works perfectly and aside from flawless camera shutter operation based on flight controller command I really like the camera on/off feature. I’ll be using more of it in my future builds.
